Application:

Fufural,called 2-Furaldehyde also known as Furan-2-carbaldehyde,is colorless to amber oily liquid with a benzaldehyde-like odor,a heterocyclic aldehyde consisting of a furan ring (oxygen-containing five-membered aromatic ring) with an aldehydegroup (-CHO) at the 2-position,widely used in refining lubricating oils and resins,serves as a precursor for producing furan derivatives(e.g., furfuryl alcohol, tetrahydrofuran) and pharmaceuticals,derived from agricultural byproducts such as corncobs, oat hulls,and sawdust.
